We started works for Operation, personnel employed. Now, trainings are ongoing. As is known, the beginning capacity of the pipeline will be 16 billion cubic meter but it was designed for 31 billion cubic meter capacity. In the future, Turkey will be able to take 15 billion cubic meter gas more from the pipeline."

"According to initial calculations, saving is about USD 3.2 billion"

Düzyol has noted that the revised budget of TANAP is USD 8.5 billion and we have saved USD 3.2 billion in according to initial calculations. Noting the investment cost will further be decreased, Düzyol said, "Investment period and dicussions with banks still continue. The amount of contracts signed until now is USD 5 billion. The financing secured from international financing agencies will start to be used soon".

"All works for supplying gas to Europe will be completed as of July 2019"

Communicating according to work program, all works for supplying gas to Europe will be completed as of July 2019, Düzyol went on to say,

"Initial gas supply date on Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) actually seemed to be early 2020. However, now it seems there will be a little delay in TAP. For this reason, we have to wait for some time, but TAP will be completed tough with some delay, because there are 9 big buyers of gas at Turkey-Greece border. Committment was made for 15 years. These are transport or pay committments. TANAP will be ready at all costs. TANAP is a project among the pipelines within the coverage of South Gas Corridor, with full progress and a project with most efficient cost. In this respect, I think we realized a very successful work, on behalf of Turkey and TANAP partners."
