KGM’s Kınalı-Tekirdağ-Çanakkale-Savaştepe Motorway Project
In his speech delivered at the Tower Foundation Laying ceremony of Çanakkale Bridge, President Erdoğan said "According to the contract, completion date of Çanakkale Bridge was end-2023. Through discussions we planned to open the bridge 18 months earlier than planned, on March 18, 2022."
Tower Foundation Concrete Laying and Tower Piling ceremony has been organized with the participation of President Tayyip Erdoğan on March 18, 2018 of Çanakkale Bridge and Motorway Project under construction by Yapı Merkezi+Limak+Daelim+SK E&C Joint Venture Group on Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model, the Implementation Contract Direct Agreement and Debt Commitment Agreement to cost 2 billion 265 million euro was signed on March 16, 2018. Speaking at the ceremony, President Erdoğan has underlined the importance of Çanakkale Bridge and reported that bridge would be completed 18 months earlier than the date set at the contract. In the most recent news story on the subject we reported that Debt Commitment Agreement of Çanakkale Bridge to cost 2 billion 265 million euro was signed by 24 banks and financing agencies in Banks Syndication, Treasury Undersecretariat, KGM and Assigned Company on March 16, 2018 TEBA:1858/ March 16, 2018. President Erdoğan has noted that in recent 15 years Turkey was developed 3.5 times, 282 thousand new classes were made, the length of divided roads reached 26 thousand km and they served the trust of martyrs well. Reminding the foundation of project was laid on 18 March last year, Arslan has reported that as of today, 320,000 cubic meter excavation was made in the pools where 66,000 ton caisson slabs each to be under the towers would be manufactured for which a ceremony was organized for earth moving. Piling will be made for caisson blocs where the legs of bridge will be put, said Arslan, piling process will be completed soon.
