Enka Undertakes the Pier Construction Works at Port Umm Qasr in Iraq
An agreement worth $ 74 million is signed between Enka İnşaat and Aloreen Investment
ENKA İnşaat which is one of the prominent groups in Turkey in offshore contracting services has undertaken another new project in Iraq. It is stated in a disclosure made by the company that Enka İnşaat undertook the works of a multi-purpose terminal at Port Umm Qasr in Basra-Iraq, the container terminal area, 5 quay-walls and marine works. It is stated that the pier has the characteristics of concrete block walls. An agreement worth $ 74 million has been signed It is stated that an agreement worth $ 74 million is signed between Enka İnşaat and Aloreen Investment regarding the project which is nominated as the construction works of a pier with concrete block walls at Port Umm Qasr. According to the contract, the design and construction works of the pier will be performed by Enka. The project is foreseen to be completed in 14 months.
