Borusan EnBW Enerji, GE, Fina Enerji and Özgül Holding have signed memorandum of understanding for Renewable Energy Source Area (YEKA) competitions to be arranged for wind investments
Borusan EnBW Enerji, General Electric (GE), Fina Enerji and Özgül Holding have signed memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the fields of installation, operation and financing of joint plants within the context of Renewable Energy Source Area (YEKA) competitions for wind investments. The signing ceremony was participated by Borusan EnBW Enerji Executive Board Chairman Agah Uğur, GE Global Growth Organization Chairman John Rice, GE Renewable Energy Europe and Middle East Director General (EMEA) Cliff Harris and GE Turkey Executive Board Chairman and Director General Canan M. Özsoy, Fina Enerji Executive Board Chairman Murat Özyeğin and Özgül Holding Executive Board Chairman Ömer Faruk Özgül. Parties involved will carry out joint work for YEKA projects in the fields of defining and operating wind energy fields, equipment, service, local production, financing and R&D. As it might be recalled, we reported that preparations were underway for announcing YEKA competition for wind energy in March, in the competition, YEGM expected to ask companies to define their own fields other than the fields to be defined by YEGM TEBA:1804/ February 24, 2017. Özgül Holding Executive Board Chairman Ömer Faruk Özgül has noted that fixed expenditures on the unit cost would decrease in proportion with the increase in the installed capacity of a wind power plant and said, “For this reason, investment will increase in parallel to increase of connection capacity for YEKA project. I hope our cooperation will contribute to Turkey’s Renewable Energy targets”.
