UDH Minister Arslan's Noteworthy Statements

Minister Ahmet Arslan, "3 Storey Grand İstanbul Tunnel Project to be tendered on BOT model. It the first rail system project to be tendered on this model". Noting BOT model seems to be compatible with the project for also including a highway crossing, Arslan has said that this would be decided on when engineering works completed. Reporting there is no problem with 3. Airport to be inaugurated on 29 October 2018, Minister Arslan has said that night flights lighting has also been made .

Minister of Transportation, Maritime Affairs and Communication (UDH) Ahmet Arslan has made a press announcement on 3 Storey Grand İstanbul Tunnel Project and İstanbul New Airport Project in Barcelona at World Mobile Congress. 

Furnishing information on the final preparations of 3 Storey Grand İstanbul Tunnel Project to be tednered on Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model, Minister Arslan has also dwelt upon the final worsk conducted on İstanbul New Airport Project planned to be inauguarted on 29 October 2018. Minister Arslan's statements on these two important projects are as follows,

"Rail system invetsments are expensive but since there will be a highway crossing in 3 Storey Tunnel, it will be compatible with BOT model"

UDH Minister Arslan has reported that a  rail system project would be tendered on BOT model fort he first time, right now drillings were underway for 3 Storey Grand İstanbul Tunnel and also survey design works continued, depending the timing of completion of engineering works, project would be tendered on BOT model within this year. 

Noting BOT model application on rail systems is not easy, but for highway involved, it became applicable, Ahmet Arslan has reminded that rail system investments were expensive, "for Highway crossing involved, it became compatible with BOT model. We will decide on when engineering Works completed". 

In the news story we earlier furnished, UDH Minister Ahmet Arslan had stated that sea drillings completed and also furnished information on the route. Minister Arslan had reported that 3 Storey Metro System to go underground at İncirli would cross under the sea from Mecidiyeköy to Zincirlikuyu, enter from Sögütlüçeşme to be connected to Kadıköy-Kartal, to Marmaray TEBA:1836/ October 11, 2017.

There is no problem with 3. Airport first stage to be commissioned on  29 October 2018

Noting the landing field is made available for landings on February 25, Arslan said, "only ligthing for night fligts was needed to be completed and energy transmitted, we did it. In 24 hour period, landing field made suitable for landing". He also noted that there was no problem with İstanbul New Airport first stage to be commissioned on  29 October 2018. 

Comunicating President Erdoğan will be invited before the opening of  3. Airport, Arslan has noted that they would use the landing field and also study the progress in the terminal. 

As it might be recalled, in the most recent news story on the subject we reported that  İstanbul New Airport would be inaugurated on 29 October 2018 and new airport planned to be moved at 3 individual stages TEBA:February 26, 2018.
