KGM, Kınalı-Tekirdağ-Çanakkale-Savaştepe Motorway Project (II)

Çanakkale Köprüsü ve Otoyolu Yatırım ve İşletme A.Ş. Chairwoman Ebru Özdemir: "The motorway toll will be €15 + VAT for automobiles. A state guarantee is in place for 45,000 vehicles per day."

Yapı Merkezi Chairman Başar Arıoğlu: "The motorways will reduce the travel time between İstanbul and Çanakkale to 2.5 hours. According to our analyses, the Bridge will contribute €16 billion to the economy in 15 years."

The Project's investors and contractors have made the most recent notable statements on Çanakkale Bridge and Motorway Project, for which funding agreements of €2,265 billion were signed with foreign banks for 70 percent of the Project and pile driving ceremony was held in the attendance of President Erdoğan shortly thereafter, on March 18, 2018. The Project is under construction by the Joint Venture Group of Yapı Merkezi - Limak - Daelim - SK E&C. 

Limak Yatırım and Çanakkale Köprüsü ve Otoyolu Yatırım ve İşletme A.Ş. Chairwoman Ebru Özdemir stated that the motorway toll would be €15 + VAT, and a state guarantee was in place for 45,000 vehicles per day.

Pointing out that the funding of the Project originated from several countries from China to Denmark, Ebru Özdemir said: "The loans were taken out from 24 banks including 17 foreign banks such as KSURE, Deutsche Bank, Bank of China, ICBC. We are planning to complete the project in March 2022." 

Yapı Merkezi Chairman Arıoğlu: "The travel time between İstanbul and Çanakkale will be reduced to 2.5 hours"

Yapı Merkezi Chairman and Çanakkale Köprüsü ve Otoyolu Yatırım ve İşletme A.Ş. Vice-President Başar Arıoğlu stated that they received more foreign demand than they expected, and that the motorways would reduce the travel time between İstanbul and Çanakkale to 2.5 hours. Arıoğlu said: "Land prices will double within 50 meters from the bridge. According to an analysis conducted by Deloitte, the Bridge will contribute €16 billion to the economy in 15 years." Arıoğlu pointed out that it might take some time to achieve the guaranteed traffic. 

Limak Holding Chairman Nihat Özdemir said: "We have spent €142 million on Çanakkale Bridge in a year.  We will allocate €800 million of equities to the Project"

Limak Holding Chairman Nihat Özdemir stated that the Joint Venture Group of Daelim-Limak-SK-Yapı Merkezi had spent €142 million on 1915 Çanakkale Bridge, and that they would allocate €800 million of equities to the Project. Stating that the South Korean government considered the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge a strategic project, Özdemir said: "Our Korean partners are strong at suspended bridges. Our staff will work with Koreans and specialize on the matter. The Çanakkale Bridge experience will also carry us to the international domain in this sense."
