Tekfen İnşaat Awarded USD150 Million Contract in Qatar
Al Khor Expressway Connection Roads construction will be completed in 24 months...
It is reported that Tekfen İnşaat, one of the pioneer companies of Turkey in international contracting, was awarded a new tender in Qatar. According to information available to TEBA, Qatar Reconstruction Works Administration (Ashghal), Al Khor Expressway Connection Roads construction contract was awarded to Tekfen İnşaat on 48 million Qatar Riyal (about USD 150 million). The subject project planned to be completed in 24 months. Tekfen Holding Contracting Group Vice Chairman in charge Levent Kafkaslı Tekfen Holding Contracting Group Vice Chairman in charge Levent Kafkaslı has said, “It is a prerequisite for a contractor to add new projects in its portfolio and it is always a source of joy. In these tough days when employment sustainability is a must, the trust of our major employer Ashghal on us double folded our joy. From this point on, our basic task is to protect the health of our all employees as it is the case in all our worksites and maintain a safe work site by applying all necessary measures at maximum level. My desire on behalf of all contracting sectors is the global stagnation brought by Covid-19 pandemic start gradually revitalize anew.” As it is known, Tekfen İnşaat was earlier awarded Ashghal's East Industrial Road Construction contract on about USD 200 million (729.6 million Qatar riyal) TEBA:1827/ August 2, 2017.
