It is reported that the Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT)-based motorway projects of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure (UAB) General Directorate of Highways (KGM), the 105-km-long section 1 between Ankara and Acıkuyu Junction and the 57-km-long section 3 between Alayhan Junction and Gölcük Junction of the Ankara-Niğde Motorway will open in a ceremony with the participation of President Tayyip Erdoğan on September 4, 2020.

The Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Adil Karaismailoğlu said: "The motorway featuring 275 km of motorway and 55 km of access roads will connect Ankara to Mersin, Adana, Gaziantep, Hatay and even Şanlıurfa with a seamless dual carriageway. Thus, we will put into service a transport network of international importance, which will connect Marmara, Black Sea, Central Anatolia, Mediterranean and Southeastern Anatolia to each other." 

Karaismailoğlu stated that 1.3 million meters of optical fiber cable was laid in three lines with 500 traffic sensors, 9 meteorological measurement stations, 208 action detecting cameras, 335 smart transport field management units, and 687 digital media servers along the motorway.

As can be remembered, we reported that it was planned that the first two sections of the Ankara-Niğde Motorway undertaken and sponsored by Erg İnşaat would open by the end of August and the third part around October. Thus, the motorway would be built 8 to 10 months earlier than the contract period and Erg İnşaat would start operating the motorway earlier TEBA:1981/ 18 August 2020.
