Mergers and Transfers in Energy Industry

Key decisions by the Competition Authority...

This article presents the latest decisions of the Competition Authority about the significant Mergers and Transfers in Energy Industry.

As part of this, the Competition Authority permits Japan Energy Capital 1 LP to assume sole control of Boras Enerji Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., an affiliate of İHK Holding, through the EC Renewable Energy Private Venture Capital Mutual Fund. Providing consultancy and plant installation services for the organizations that will serve in the field of solar power, Boras Enerji imports SPP technologies of Dutch origin. 

The Authority also decides that the sole control of Çelebi Enerji Elektrik Üretim A.Ş., Didem Enerji Elektrik Üretim A.Ş., Gülay Enerji Elektrik Üretim A.Ş., Kainat Enerji Elektrik Üretim A.Ş., Muzaffer Mangır Enerji Elektrik Üretim A.Ş. and Selim Enerji Elektrik Üretim A.Ş., and the transfer of the real estate property where the Yenifoça Solar Power Plant (SPP) and Süleymanlı SPP operated by the said companies are located to Aldo Enerji Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. is not subject to a permit.

The Authority further decides that the Offshore Fixed Renewable Wind Power Operations of Subsea 7 S.A. be transferred to OHT ASA in return for Subsea 7 S.A. assuming the sole control of OHT ASA.
