Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process has been completed of the Additional Polymer Cips and Polyester Production facilities and Ancillary Facilities (Storage and Thermal Power) Capacity Increase Project planned to be realized by SASA Polyester Sanayi A.Ş. at Adana, Seyhan county, Sarıhamzalı Quarter. "EIA Positive" has been given for Project. 

Within the coverage of Project, fiber and pet cips (textile and bottle cips type) capacity increase planned by installing a new fiber and MTR (The Melt-To-Resin Production ) facilities in addition to fiber and polymer facilities by SASA for fiber and polymer establishments excluded the investments under operation and under construction. Furthermore, a steam boiler planned to be added for meeting the requirements of existing SASA facilities. In the meantime, a central wastewater treatment facility planned to be installed for both planned fiber-MTR production facilities and existing facilities and also for PTA ( Oure Terephtalic Acid) production facility by removing household and industrial wastewater treatment facilities of SASA. Of all of these planned investments, fiber and MTR facilities planned to be installed within SASA facilities, wastewater treatment facility planned to be installed in PTA facilities and within existing SASA facilities. 

The investment cost of the Project was set to be USD 450.032.012 (3.671.361.154 TL) TEBA:2017/ April 27, 2021
