The Amount of Commercial Credits Provided in February 2022 Reached TL 4 Trillion 379 Billion

Commercial credits increased by 51% in the period of February 2022 as the manufacturing sector was provided TL 1.2 trillion of loans as commercial credits, the wholesale and retail trade sector TL 735 billion, the construction sector TL 456 billion and the energy sector TL 435 billion - The highest proportion of receivables to be liquidated is represented by the construction sector at a rate of 7.5%...

The Banks Association of Turkey (TBB) Risk Center has released the monthly report for the period of February 2022.

According to the report, the amount of cash credits provided by TBB member institutions reached TL 5 trillion 444 million as of February 2022 increasing by 44% compared to the same month of the previous year. TL 5 trillion 271 billion of cash credits was provided by banks, TL 87 billion by leasing companies, TL 44 billion by finance institutions and TL 43 billion by factoring firms.

Receivables to be liquidated are recorded as TL 196 billion in the given period. TL 185 billion out of the total amount of receivables to be liquidated is claimed by banks, TL 7.1 billion by leasing companies, TL 1.8 billion by factoring companies and TL 1.5 billion by finance institutions. The proportion of receivables to be liquidated within the overall loan amount is recorded as 3.5 percent in February 2022 decreasing by 1 point compared to the same month of the previous year.

Commercial credits increased by 51% in February 2022

Commercial credits are recorded as TL 4 trillion 379 billion in the given period increasing by 51 percent. The proportion of commercial loans in the total amount of credits realized at a level of 80%. The manufacturing industry represented the highest share of 29 percent (TL 1 trillion 279 billion) in the total amount of commercial loans. Other main sectors representing a proportion of 10% and higher are listed as wholesale and retail trade with 17% (TL 735 billion), the construction sector with 10% (TL 456 billion) and the energy sector with 10% (TL 435 billion)

The highest proportion of receivables to be liquidated is represented by the construction sector as of February 2022 at a rate of 7.5% followed by the energy sector with 5.3% and the tourism sector with 4.9%.
