Armco Elektrik Elektronik, the superstructure signaling works subcontractor of the 153 km Çerkezköy-Kapıkule section of TCDD General Directorate's Halkalı-Kapıkule Railway Project, whose EU Pre-Accession Financial Assistance Fund (IPA) grant was provided and the contract was signed with the partnership of Kolin-Salini Impregilo (today Webuild) company decided to use Thales' Track Circuits (TTC). The scope of work undertaken by Thales includes hardware design, supply, assembly and commissioning supervision of Track Circuits. TTC track circuits will provide preventive maintenance information of the system and ensure the safety of railway operation by detecting line occupancy, presence of a train or leaving that area in a certain area.
