Yapı Merkezi, which is Turkiye's one of the most successful contracting companies in overseas contracting, reportedly won a new contract for turnkey construction works of the buildings of car production facilities of BMW Group, world's largest automotive giant in the luxury segment, in Hungary. The successful and fast work in the superstructure construction of the Gemlik Facility, which is the core of TOGG's 'Journey to Innovation' goal and is defined as 'More than a Factory' with its functions, smart and environmentalist features gathered under the same roof, has been awarded to Yapı Merkezi in Europe and globally opened the doors of a brand new project. The world giant BMW Group, which is impressed by the extraordinary quality of work at Yapı Merkezi's TOGG production facility, decided to work with Yapı Merkezi for the construction of the car production facilities that will operate in Debrecen, Hungary. BMW Group, a multinational luxury vehicle and motorcycle manufacturer, and Yapı Merkezi signed this important project in a ceremony held in Budapest on August 17, 2022. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Aslan Uzun, CEO of Yapı Merkezi Holding, Mr. Mustafa Saatçi, Deputy General Manager responsible for the Bids, Mr. Mehmet Demirer, Deputy General Manager responsible for Implementation of the Qualified Buildings, Mr. Erkut Karagoz, Director responsible for the Bids, and Mr. Koray Karahasanoglu, Project Coordinator. In the scope of the Project worth Euro 220 million, Yapı Merkezi will carry out the turnkey construction works of the Body Shop (TKB) and Press Shop (TU) buildings of the facilities. BMW Group will also experience the difference of our quality work in TOGG's production facilities in its own production facilities and will be very pleased..” Yapı Merkezi, which will complete the Body Shop (TKB) building of the BMW Group's car production facilities in Hungary in 432 days and the Press Shop (TU) building in 525 days, will perform the rough, fine and electromechanical works of turnkey projects. Approximately 70,000 m3 of concrete, 7 thousand m3 of precast concrete and 10 thousand tons of structural steel to be manufactured will be used in the construction of both buildings of the project, which were undertaken by Yapı Merkezi.
