Romania, Arad – Oradea Motorway Project

Romanian Highways Administration CNAIR has set the new deadline for submitting bids for announced tender for the second LOT of 120 km Arad - Oradea Express Motorway Project, which will be connected to the Hungarian border. Bids must be submitted until July 29, 2024. As you may remember, we previously informed you that the 2nd LOT tender was suspended and the new deadline for submitting bids would be determined soon. TEBA:2175/ June 27, 2024 The cost of the 2nd LOT work will be between 3.4 and 3.8 billion RON. The length of 2nd LOT is 39,7 km. The duration of the work was determined as 24 months. LOT As it is known, Oradea - Arad Motorway will be built in Lot 3 and the construction period was planned to be 24 months. LOT's were like this (TEBA:12 October 2023) : – Lot 1 (33,7 km) to which connection road between DN 79 and Salonta (5,3 km) added. – Lot 2 (39,7 km) to which Hungarian border connection road added. – Lot 3 (47,07 km) to which Arad West Industrial Zone (2,9 km) and connection road added. As it is remembered nine bids, including companies' from Turkiye, were received for the 3rd LOT construction works tender of the project TEBA:2175/ June 27, 2024 Seven bids, on the other hand, including companies' from Turkiye, were received for the 1st LOT of the project.
